i came back from atlanta to find a package from my dear philly friends over at the anthropologie home office. i got loads of upholstery fabric swatches. not sure what i'm going to do with them yet... stay tuned.
i went home to atlanta this past saturday to find my childhood bedroom in total disarray. my grandfathers roll top desk had been replaced by my brothers college dining table. quite the downgrade. it's official. my bedroom has turned into mom's craft room. it was hard to lose that great old wood desk, but sorting through all of mom's crafting goods was a fun-filled, team activity. craft on mamma!
last night mamma fergustuff and i enjoyed some red wine at tacc's silent auction and artist market. i'm thinking we enjoyed a little too much red wine. above is just one of the 4 pieces we 'won'.
mamma donated a candle holder and bowl to tacc's silent auction. the auction and artist market will take place at st. jude's in midtown atlanta on thursday and friday of this week. looking forward to checking it out.
the ellwood living room finally has a carpet. the nursery got a new durry as well. living room and dining room curtains are on their way, as is the master bathroom shower curtain.
halloween 2009: dinosaur of the stegosaurus variety
(costume idea by miss annie. thanks!!!)
(all sorts of help from mamma. thanks!!!)
the felt plates and thagomizers are ready to be attached to my hoodie and tail. bottom right: shoe covers with elastic straps to secure under the sole and ribbon to wrap the ankle. more to come...
took a trip into town today. it seems the town of damariscotta recently held a pumpkin carving contest. all the local shops along main street participated. the post office's underwater scene was my favorite, although i hear the publik house did an outstanding clam.
urban outfitters inc has expanded its scope. checked out terrain when i visited philly this weekend. it was lovely. cannot wait to visit and check out their brunch.
